Recently, a team of U.S. bath & plumbing wholesalers took a little adventure to Dusseldorf, Germany to visit the GROHE Headquarters.
A few of these representatives were associated with the Granite Group and their showroom group, the Ultimate Bath Showroom. This was indeed a rare treat to see how Europe’s largest manufacturer of sanitary fittings, including kitchen and bathroom faucets/taps, and shower systems delivers innovative products that are not only well manufactured, but are superbly designed.
GROHE products have been the recipient of prestigious design accolades including the red dot design award. In fact, The GROHE Design Team led by Paul Flowers won the 2011 “red dot: best of the best” award and “red dot: design team of the year” honors. Being the first sanitary manufacturer to be named “red dot: design team of the year”, GROHE joins the ranks of such prestigious previous winners as Bose, BMW, adidas, Apple, Audi, Sony and Philips.
During this recent visit, the group toured the famed ‘red dot design museum’. The museum is a cavernous building that houses the world’s largest and the most unusual exhibition of contemporary design. All the products on show are winners from the red dot design award, one of the world’s leading and largest design competitions which is staged annually by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen.
The group also was introduced to GROHE newest product offering, the Alllure Brilliant, which is part of the GROHE’s Spa collection.
Starting with the simplicity of a square or rectangle, the Allure Brilliant Collection utilizes geometric forms to their full potential and takes taps in a new direction with its clean angular lines and flat planes.
